Expertise is not democratic. The chef and creator are responsible for the outcome. That means they are in control of the experience. This is the operating belief behind every SubCulture Dining event, and it has been since the beginning.

Care does not require choice. Respect does not require negotiation. Authority creates safety, clarity, and coherence. When those three things are present, hospitality works. When any one of them is missing, it does not.
